"Let's go down, dig a little deeper now."

So I haven't really been paying attention  to my blog recently. It's probably because Molly is now back in the UK so I only have to go to her bedroom to talk to her.

A lot has happened in the first 3 months of the new year, but I thought I'd just focus on a couple of weeks as it was a very fun and musical one.

Thursday 12th March, I was lucky enough to go and see one of my favourite bands play. Which was doubly exciting as it was their first show of the year. Tides are a recent discovery for me, but I'm so glad that I did find them. Or more accurately, they found me.

I first heard of Tides when I was going to see Panic at the Disco at the Hammersmith Apollo. The lovely drummer and lead singer were handing out flyers about their EP. As soon as I got home, I googled. After listening to So Close, I was hooked. In the past year I have been to three of their shows, all with my boyfriend.

The show I went to see last week was held in Camden. Even after living in London for three years, I have only been to Camden once before and had never been to the famous market. As it was, I found the market to be a bit of a disappointment. It was just a repeat of each stall throughout. All stocking the same tank tops replicated one after another. Although there were some cracking Harry Potter tanks, but alas, all one size (sadtimes).

The best part was the arts and crafts market that's situated on Camden Lock. I didn't have as much time as I wanted to look around as we were meeting our friend at the station, but what I saw of it was amazing. All handmade jewelry, decor, trinkets, scarves and much, much more.  Mike had to drag me away from a gorgeous gold necklace with blue gemstones that was £30.

The lock itself was beautiful and really doesn't look like somewhere in London. I just loved the cobblestones on the curved bridge. It was a lot nicer, scenic walk to the other side of the lock rather than going across the main (and busy) bridge.

I really recommend that you listen to some of Tides' music. My personal favourite is Breathless. They also have a new EP coming out early next month. They are a very good fresh band and I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
