I've recently been thinking a lot about my future, and I'm not just talking about career wise. I've had a lovely couple of months and it's been giving me warm fuzzy feelings thinking about finishing my degree and getting out into the working world. In a years time *permitting I pass* I will be a qualified Mental Health Nurse and hopefully I will be earning enough money to save up for a deposit on a house! I've already got a bit of savings to go towards my home fund, but the fact that it's getting nearer and nearer is just causing an overflow of excitement!
Apart from the obvious excitement of finding that perfect house, I am so excited about filling it with weird and wonderful decor. I was luck enough to procure a beautiful desk and drawer set from a family friend.

At the moment it's a little bit shabby with a massive scratch on top of the desk. My plan is to sand it down, then paint it all white and finally add some stencils to the sides. I am even toying with changing the drawer knows as well, but we shall see. The temptation to up-cycle it this summer ready for next year when I finally move out. Luckily I've got some great friends who are willing to help me, so it shouldn't take too long.
A bit of a random post to be honest, but felt that if I was going to blog, I might as well do it properly and get started.
