"Let's go down, dig a little deeper now."

So I haven't really been paying attention  to my blog recently. It's probably because Molly is now back in the UK so I only have to go to her bedroom to talk to her.

A lot has happened in the first 3 months of the new year, but I thought I'd just focus on a couple of weeks as it was a very fun and musical one.

Thursday 12th March, I was lucky enough to go and see one of my favourite bands play. Which was doubly exciting as it was their first show of the year. Tides are a recent discovery for me, but I'm so glad that I did find them. Or more accurately, they found me.

I first heard of Tides when I was going to see Panic at the Disco at the Hammersmith Apollo. The lovely drummer and lead singer were handing out flyers about their EP. As soon as I got home, I googled. After listening to So Close, I was hooked. In the past year I have been to three of their shows, all with my boyfriend.

The show I went to see last week was held in Camden. Even after living in London for three years, I have only been to Camden once before and had never been to the famous market. As it was, I found the market to be a bit of a disappointment. It was just a repeat of each stall throughout. All stocking the same tank tops replicated one after another. Although there were some cracking Harry Potter tanks, but alas, all one size (sadtimes).

The best part was the arts and crafts market that's situated on Camden Lock. I didn't have as much time as I wanted to look around as we were meeting our friend at the station, but what I saw of it was amazing. All handmade jewelry, decor, trinkets, scarves and much, much more.  Mike had to drag me away from a gorgeous gold necklace with blue gemstones that was £30.

The lock itself was beautiful and really doesn't look like somewhere in London. I just loved the cobblestones on the curved bridge. It was a lot nicer, scenic walk to the other side of the lock rather than going across the main (and busy) bridge.

I really recommend that you listen to some of Tides' music. My personal favourite is Breathless. They also have a new EP coming out early next month. They are a very good fresh band and I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

Dear Molly: "If baking is any labor at all, it's a labor of love. A love that gets passed from generation to generation"

Dear Molly,

It was so nice to get a FaceTime from you while you were in ULTA. I was extremely jealous! All of that makeup through the screen that I couldn't touch, tortuous!! Since then I've been a bit busier than I was last week, probably down to the fact that I'm feeling a lot better!

When I was speaking to you on Friday, I was just about to get in the hot tub. This was lovely, but probably more disastrous than I intended it to be. For one, I somehow always manage to get my head wet and my make up runs down my face. I actually managed to keep my face dry for the duration of the hot-tubbing, until I went to help Katie put the cover back on top. She was standing on one of the seats, so I thought I'd do the same. This lead to her going "no, Amy, you don't get up here. It's an accident waiting to happen", to which I replied "I am not clumsy", which of course I am. Cue me slipping and falling back into the water and in turn injuring myself. Needless to say I was not in the best of moods when I woke up the next morning. Aches, ya know?

I went to see the Hobbit: the Battle of Five Armies on Friday. It was amazing!! Even though I've read the book, I still cried when the inevitable happened. When it comes out on DVD, I may have to subject you to a marathon of the Hobbit trilogy, followed by the Lord of the Rings trilogy.

The reference to my quote this post is to do with my excitement about my rainbow cake! As you know I have to make one that is good enough for a wedding in just over a month. So I have decided to trial run it as the Christmas Cake. Which will be interesting as I've had to alter the measurements to fit a 12" tin. The most exciting thing about this is that I bought some food colouring pastes so the colours of the sponge should be extra bright! If they're not, I'm screwed. I also have to do a trial run of the chocolate cake as I need to make sure that Toby likes the chocolate sponge I use. He doesn't like my devils food cake mixed, so I have to find something a little less bitter.

Stacey and I had a meander around Wisbech yesterday, which definitely isn't as exciting as it sounds haha. I bought the TV a present in the form of Google Chromecast. Mum's threatened to take my cards away from me for about the millionth time this month. I do keep trying to reassure her that I'm going on a spending ban in the new year. I don't think she believes me... To be honest, I'm not even sure I believe me!

Hope you are well, I've loved seeing your snapchats with your family and I still can't believe that your aunt hadn't finished putting the Deckies up yet!!

Look forward to hearing from you,
Much love,

Amy

Dear Molly: "Patience is bitter, but it's fruit is sweet"

Hey Mols,

I was very excited to read your initial blog!! Gutted that iMovie has been playing up, I can't wait to see all of the cool things!!

I am so jealous that you got to stalk all the Serial sites!! Although, it must have been a bit eerie. Especially Leakin' Park, who knows how many bodies are buried in there! I was thinking about the timeline, what time did you go to the school? Cos the whole point that Adnan was trying to make was that at school kick out time the time scale would be ridiculous. As if you have a car, you have to wait for the buses to leave before you can drive off. And if I remember correctly, the buses took about 1/4 of an hour. I still can't quite believe that the last episode is this Thursday, BUT it has been renewed for a second season!!

My god, you have been travelling like a lunatic! It must have been so nice to visit somewhere you've never been before and see all those historical sites! I don't think I'll ever fully understand the emotions that you felt, but I can imagine it was a very emotional place to be. I'd love to visit there sometime. So much history in one city!

I went a bit cray shopping today in Primark. They have a HUGE amount of Harry Potter clothes! (And let it be known that Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is on ITV at the moment, apt viewing) So anyway, I now have HP jogging bottoms, jumper, T-shirt and pyjamas! So cray was probably a bit of an understatement!

Today is Tuesday, so it's my weekly ritual to be with Katie and watch Geordie Shore. It's kind of sad as it's the last in the series tonight and one of the long time cast members is leaving. Although this is her second time leaving so who know's how long it will be until you brings herself back into the mix. The good thing about Geordie Shore, is that it's never too long until the next season starts. So bring it on!!

Ooh, I forgot to mention that I bought this amazing hoodie which is all fluffy and white and it has bobbles on the front and the hood is... Wait for it... The face of a snowman! It's not very flattering, but it's so warm and cosy!! I bought loads more, but I kind of viewed it as my last big blow out before my spending ban in January... I'm not looking forward to that!

I'm going to the see the last Hobbit film at the end of the week and then going out with Stacey for her works Christmas Do on Friday. I'm really looking forward to it, it seems like such a long time since I went out and had a dance!

Anyway, I'm actually round Katie's at the moment, so I'm being really rude sitting here on my laptop when it's our night in!!

I look forward to seeing your blog post, and I hope you have a lovely time with your young cousins and shopping (don't forget my shopping list!)

Much love,
Amy

Dear Molly“The worst part about dreaming? You have to wake up.”

Dear Molly,

So I am still waiting for your video! I thought that I'd write to you anyway, in the hope that I can keep it up!!

My title is in reference to the time I woke up today. Midday. That's very late haha, but I have a very good reason! I finally discovered how to get American Netflix on my Mac so had a bit of a binge watch of Deathnote. Which is an Anime that I watched when I was younger, it was a proper throwback time last night. This meant I didnt get to sleep until about 5am. Time flies when you're having fun!!!
This is Ryuk from Deathnote. He is a Shinigami (God of Death)
Remind me to tell you about Deathnote sometime!

I also managed to film 9 whole minutes of talking to you ready for editing in with my other two videos. I have a good reason for it not being up though. Quite simply, my internet is a dick. At first it was like "yo Amy, wrong format" so I read their guidelines like a good child. And, no, it was not the wrong format. It was MP4 which is what they said it should be!!!!! So anyway I spent about an hour trying to get it to not say this, then it finally seemed to accept it but... it stayed on frigging 0% for another hour!! So, yeah, no video for you.

In other news, we had to get a new oven. Ours just packed up so now we have sprung and got a gas oven, which cooks the most lovely of roasts! Other than get up late and eat a roast I haven't really done anything today. Although I did get round to see Katie and Alex briefly, which is always nice. We have such a laugh when we're together.

I now know that you have the videos of Leakin' Park etc. So I am not so patiently waiting for them to arrive in my youtube subscriptions!!

Let me know how Washington went today!!

Dear Molly: "The Greatest Wealth is Health"

Dear Molly,

I know we said that we'd be vlogging each other, but after my first attempt to film in public whilst ill I decided that life infront of the camera isn't for me. For one I got some pretty weird looks, but then you should be fine since you're in 'Merica. So I decided that I would reply to your (currently non-existent) Vlogs, but since I'm the one sitting at home doing nothing exciting I decided to make first contact.

Life's pretty cold in England at the moment, although probably not as cold as America. Not much has been going  as I have been unwell. You know what we thought was a one of sickness thing, nah. I've been upchucking like god knows what this week. Fun times for Amy!! #NotPregnantThough

So I've not really been doing much apart from sitting, sleeping, sicking and some more sleeping. Although I did get dragged out by the Mother on Thursday, which was not the best experience of my life. We braced Asda. ASDA MOLLY. Do you know how cray Asda gets around this time of year. We were out for 4 and a half bleeding hours! This was the time when I thought about trying to video and a women openly laughed at me and shook her head (rude! I know!) but there was this really cool jumper that made me think of you and Stephen. It had Totes Amazeballs written on it and bobbles all over, like proper 3D bobbles Molly!! I may attach the video if I'm feeling brave, we'll see after I've finished writing (Read: If i CBA).

Grandad and I made a start on the Harry Potter Puzzle; I keep walking into the kitchen to hear him cursing me haha. It's almost done so will send a photo when it is. This one is definitely getting glued and put up somewhere!

I'm so jealous that you got to go to Baltimore! I hope you're being safe out there. Did you get to see our Serial Tourist Spots? If you did, pics or GTFO. Only joking of course, I'll just hurt you when you get home ;)

What else have you been up to?

Have you seen any of the babies yet?

How's seeing Sarah going?

See there is so much you could be filming and telling me, so better get on it!! Only short for starters, cos you know, ills.

Missing you already!!

ps. I love how just as I finished writing this you messaged me, it's like you can read my mind! Get out of my head woman!!!

pps. My air drop was being shitty, and I'm too lazy to walk up the stairs and get my cable, so you'll have to see the videos later!!

The Blissful Weather

Hi Everybody!

So this weekend has been a whirlwind of excitement and stress. My best friend's mum (who also happens to be my mum's best friend!) got married on Saturday! It was a beautiful ceremony with a lovely reception. However, it all took A LOT of preparation and planning.

The lovely couple, Sally and Andy, got engaged per Christmas 2013, so we only have 7 short months to plan this! The lovely thing was they were able to secure the date that they first met as the wedding day. This was just the beginning of a perfect celebration.

The Lovely Bride

My mum and I were very honoured to help Sally with planning her big day. To help with the costs, for Sally's wedding present my mum said that she would do the flower arranging and decorate the cake. I took on baking the cake and creating the order of service.

My mum and I made sure that we had input from Sally throughout the whole creation process, and what was once just an idea in all of our heads ended up being the perfect day that Sally and Andy deserve.

The cake that Mum and I made

Now, I want to talk about the weather on this day as it was, simply put, perfect. When we all awoke on Saturday morning, we were greeted will dull, cloudy skies. Now, we weren't overly bother, as whatever the weather the day was going to be amazing. The weather in the end did outdo itself. By the time 15:30 rolled around, there was glorious sunshine (which made photos extra beautiful) and it stayed that way for the majority of the reception. I am so happy that the days went just the way that Sally and Andy wanted it to.

My beautiful best friend Katie

This is really just a little post to Congratulate my second mum and her new husband.

To Sally and Andy!

Amy x

Have you attended any Weddings this year? How was the weather there?
